1. Introduction

BeforeForever ("we", "us", "our") provides a private compatibility assessment for couples. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how it's stored, and the rights you have over it. By using BeforeForever you agree to this policy.

2. What we collect

  • The first name you give for yourself and your partner.
  • Your relationship status (pre-engaged or engaged).
  • Your written answers to the assessment questions.
  • The compatibility report generated from those answers.
  • The email and first name of the person who pays — used to send the report and (only if you opt in) occasional product emails.
  • Basic technical data (browser type, device, IP address) needed to operate and secure the service.
  • Payment is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.

3. How we use your data

  • To generate and deliver your private compatibility report.
  • To process your payment and send you a receipt.
  • To respond to support requests.
  • To improve the product using aggregated, de-identified patterns only (e.g. "X% of engaged couples score lowest on money").
  • To send marketing emails only if you explicitly opt in at checkout.

4. What we don't do

  • We don't sell your data. Ever.
  • We don't use your answers to train third-party AI models.
  • We don't share your individual answers or report with anyone outside of the two of you.
  • We don't run advertising networks or third-party trackers against your assessment data.

5. Where data is stored

Your session, answers, and report are stored on Lovable Cloud with row-level access controls. Payments use Stripe. Reports may be generated using AI providers we vet under data processing agreements that prohibit using your content for model training.

6. Data retention

We retain your assessment data for as long as your account/session is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. Email us and we'll act within 30 days. You can also withdraw your marketing consent at any time by replying to any email.

8. Security

We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your assessment as sensitive personal information.

9. Children

BeforeForever is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the site or email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
